Chicago By Air
Chicago is served by two airports.
O'Hare International Airport is 17 miles northwest of Chicago ; The CTA Blue Line train runs 24 hours to the city and takes 45 minutes.
Midway International Airport is 11 miles southwest of Chicago . The CTA Orange Line train takes 30 minutes to the city. Keep the card you purchase so that it can to top up later if needed. Taxis are available but not cheap. Many hotel provide a shuttle bus service.
Airport Express offers a shuttle service from both airports to hotels and North Shore suburbs. The shuttle operates between 6am and 11.30pm. Tickets can be purchased at the airports. (312 454 7800 or 800 654 7871)
Chicago Transit Authority Trains service the airports as well. The Blue Line services O'Hare and the Orange Line services Midway.
Chicago By Bus
The Greyhound terminal is at 630 West Harrison Street . There is also one at 95th/Dan Ryan red line station. Greyhound (800 229 9424)
Chicago By Train
Chicago 's Union Station located at 225 S Canal Street on the Near West Side is where most of the trains from other destinations arrive into Chicago. Amtrak trains provide the service, for fares and timetables they can be contacted on (800 872 7245).
